Project Legend : Fire Temple

Exploration of The Fire Temple.

At the edge of Death Mountain, you find the entrance to the Fire Temple where Volvagia waits to bestow their blessing on whomever is worthy. My goal was to make the volcanic mountain a bit more fantastical, as most erupting volcanoes don't keep their structure, so it wouldn't be visually compelling.

The Entrance to the Fire Temple. I wanted to imagine the temple as Obsidian to contrast with the rough volcanic rock everywhere else. This also created a nice contrast with reflections on any hard surface.

As you approach the Caldera of Death Mountain, you find the Fire Temple's inner sanctum. Volvagia is ever watchful over this place.
A lot of inspiration was pulled from Mount Doom in The Lord of the Rings and previous Zelda Titles.
